The
Root City Band got together on this thursday night for the TC Muzique studio show in Mpls,
MN with host Kelly Moore and Jay Smiley. The Root City Band is made up
of five members with Alex Rossi on lead vocal and guitar, Heatbox with beatbox and vocals,
Cory Blanchard at keyboards, Chris Larson on Bass and Pat
Nelson at the drums. As they warmed up for the show, the guitar action
filled the room with the anticipation of another great show at TC
Muzique. Their music has a rockin soul flow with appealing slices of
blues and funk. Where the supporting vocals blends well with the
lead vocals and the keyboards, percussion and extra touches such as the
cowbell and tamborine bring together an intricate fusion of techniques.
The songs 'Backyard Boogie', 'Burning it Down' and 'Pinch Lover' are
good examples of their work which can be found on their album called 'A
Many too Few'.
Root City will be playing an outdoor event at Narrows North in the Twin
Cities on June 24th.
