With a quest for music and a taste for metal there may be some mayhem on the menu. With this Saturday event came a mix of heavy and dark music with a number of national acts on the main stage and in the Ascot Room a selection of local Minnesota bands along with a few touring bands. .

As the evening moved forward the crowd gathered rather thick for the main stage action with Satryicon and Morbid Angel. In the Ascot Room Impaler brought forth their brand of mayhem to the stage. With Bill Lindsey came a classic dose of bloody good time rock as one would expect and can also be found on their recently released ' 20 years Undead ' DVD. Out of St. Louis, MO came Conquest with music from their CD 'No Boundaries'. Up front on vocals and guitar Derrick Bromley delivered a solid set of metal excitement for the crowd. Metal heavy and hungry for the crowd came Chris South and Downside of Truth as they worked the stage. Most likely they found some new fans with this event. The crowd began shifting around and out to catch Morbid Angel on the main stage as the bands Twelth Gate and Pyramaze took on the Ascot Room. Many of the bands that played the main stage and Ascot Room are likely to be seen playing other metal events during the upcoming summer months. In the Twin Cties, Hard Core Dave is one hardy fan and supporter of the metal scene and summed up the evening with "Extreme metal at its best".
